Dr. Ann C. (Cathy) Schwartz

	Dr. Catherine Schwartz

Dr. Catherine Schwartz is board certified in ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and has been in practice in Northern Virginia for 21 years.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and her medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.  Her internship and residency training were completed at Wake Forest University clinic and hospital.

Prior to joining Eye Physician of Virginia, LTD in 2001 Dr. Schwartz was chief of the Ophthalmology Department at Kaiser Permanente in the National Capital Area for 18 years. 
She is certified to perform various eye surgeries, including CK (conductive keratoplasty).  She believes in always being on the forefront of technology, which is why she was the first surgeon to introduce CK at the surgical center.
